FAQs
- Athens: What kind of seat will I have on the ferry? You’ll find a standard seat reserved for you while you’re sailing between the mainland and islands. (Mhm, travelling just like the locals!)
- Athens: Will the ferries have Wi-Fi? Looking to disconnect from the world (and connect with your new travel pals)? Ferries are the place to be. The Wi-Fi and phone signal when sailing between islands (understandably) tends to be weak. That’s why we always recommend using an e-SIM or getting a local SIM so you can have continued connectivity. But there’s no need to worry if you don’t have one. All accommodations throughout the trip will have Wi-Fi available - so you can keep your Insta followers updated on all the fun!
- Athens: Do all of the hotels have pools? Almost every time. Most of our accommodations tend to have pool facilities. But hey, you’ve got the sparkling Aegean waters of Greece by your side. So if you wanna take a swim, you’ve got the entire sea to explore.
- Athens: Can I know what time the ferry will depart & arrive? Ferry departure & arrival timings tend to change for every trip. So if you’d like to know the exact time, you can contact our 24/7 customer service centre.
- London: Can I share a room with my partner on this trip? Your Trip Manager will advise you on who you’ll share your room with. On this trip, you’ll stay in a multi-share room with other travellers of the same sex.
- London: What does a modular trip mean? A modular trip means fellow travellers will join and leave at various locations. There’ll be some goodbyes, sure, but there’ll also be plenty of hellos with new like-minded travellers.
Included Experience
- Mykonos: Paradise Beach in Mykonos is one of the most iconic beaches, not only in Greece, but in the world! And this resort is right on the beach. Think gorgeous sunset views and direct access to the beach.
- Athens: All aboard! Time to sail from Athens to Mykonos, checking out that glittering sea view as we go. Includes reserved seating.
- Athens: Don't spend another second worrying about how you'll get around. We've got that covered with a private transfer from the hotel to the port.
- Mykonos: We'll set sail from marvellous Mykonos to perfect Paros, with reserved seating included.
- Paros: We'll board the ferry in Paros and set sail for the sultry island of Santorini. With reserved seating included.
- Santorini: Don't worry about getting from the hotel to Fira, we've got you covered. (It's what we do best after all.)
- Santorini: We'll board the ferry in Santorini and set sail for inspiring Ios. Includes reserved seating (think of us as your Ferry Godmother.)
- Ios: We'll board the ferry in Ios and head back to where we started: the lovely Athens. Includes reserved seating.
- Athens: Don't spend another second worrying about how you'll get around Athens. We've got that covered with a private transfer from the port to the hotel.

Rise and shine, Greek Island travellers! The island of Santorini won't explore itself. Today is your day to take a swim at Perissa Beach, eat the local specialty of fried tomato balls known as domatokeftedes, or roam and explore. You can even opt to take a visit to incredible Oia followed by a visit to the black sand beach of Santorini.
Accommodation: Kalipso Villas (or similar)

A bit more rugged and remote than Santorini and Mykonos, Ios will prove a nice change of scenery for our final Island night. It can also be attributed to the New Zealand slang 'Tiki-tour' describing taking a longer route to a destination in order to explore.[5]

Where to start... what a trip! I did the Greek Island Hopping trip and wow! Just wow! We went to 5 amazing different islands in Greece! Starting in Athens, then getting the ferry to Mykonos, Paros, Santorini and los. They were all beautiful places! We stayed in different styles of hotels - from modern, to classic Greece styled buildings, to more dated untouched places. I've reviewed all the hotels separately on trip advisor if you're interested in knowing what they were like. We stayed at the Dorian Inn (Athens), New Paradise Beach Resort (Mykonos), Siroco's Rooms (Paros), Iliada Odyseas Resort (Santorini) and finally Far Out Beach Club Resort & Camping (los). We explored each and every island and got to learn the Ancient Greek history behind each of them. It was also great to have someone book and navigate the ferry ports as they were very hectic and confusing. Our tour guide "Personal information removed by Feefo was lovely! Such a beautiful person inside and out! She was very chatty and kind, always smiling and ready to help if you needed anything. We did come across the other Contiki group and their tour guide "Personal information removed by Feefo seemed equally as kind and friendly! Overall I had such an amazing time. Personally, my only issue was pricing-this trip is aimed between 18-35 year olds and as a 18 year old working full time in both travel and hairdressing I found I couldn't take part in all the FTA's as they were priced quite high. Some of them I would have said the price was very reasonable however there e some I would have said were a bit expensive for what they were. As a group and after speaking with another Contiki group we had a few minor issues. We felt that there wasn't enough free time Iwe felt that we missed out on local experiences in exchange to do the FTA's - it felt as though you had to pick between one or the other. We also felt as if we were a little over booked for the short amount of time we had, for example being out till 2am and having to be awake by dam to get the ferry the next morning. We also realised that the trip was advertised as 11 days when it's only really 9 days! We also found out that It's not a requirement for the tour guides to have first aid which was a slight concern as if anything was to happen they wouldn't have been able to help. But apart from the minor issues we still had a really fun time! Overall, it was such a great experience! I personally feel that tours aren't necessary my thing but it was a great opportunity, and I really enjoyed getting to know lots of different people from lots of different places around the world. I would highly recommend Contiki!

I had the most fantastic time island hopping through Greece. The views were absolutely beautiful, but a lot of it was due to our fantastic trip manager, *Personal details removed by Feefo*, who made sure that we were having a fantastic time all the time no matter what we were doing no matter where we went. He went above and beyond and made sure that even during our free time when he didn't need to that, we were having reservations at dinner or going out somewhere fun and having drinks and he just did a really absolutely fantastic job. And although my group was smaller than the average and made it so it was really intimate and that we were able to connect with the other travellers on the group, and I made some lifelong friends. And of course Greece is absolutely and incredible country and has some many amazing things to see. Easy to book although the Contiki website was having some difficulties and going through changes that made it so we didn't not get our welcome documents via the website and only through email which was kind of confusing but we made it work. I loved that the had a help line I could call whenever I needed to ask questions and the same with the chat. Both of those really came in handy.

Trip was unreal, it's an amazing way to get a taste of multiple islands and make some new friends along the way. Trip was made even better by our trip manager *Personal information removed by Feefo*, i don't think another trip manager could possibly beat him. Booked online and everything was made easy by just following the booking steps and providing information as Contiki needed it

I do not feel as though it was worth the amount I paid and I would never recommend contiki. The tour manager and the group of people were amazing but 3/5 accommodations were terrible with broken doors and a foldable bed and some of the food ware in Paros was dirty and putting us in the worst side of Athens. The breakfast was barely nutritious and the acropolis tour was a mess. They had 5 of us doing something different to the other 1 as if there was a failure in a communication and I will be seeking a partial refund

Absolutely loved meeting new people! Seeing a different country and their culture :). Absolutely loved having a contiki chit chat group on what's app that allowed everyone on tour to message in it to find out what others are doing and hang out. 100% would do it again and do different islands, I guess what they say is right once you start travelling you then get the travel bug!! I am now planning 2 more trips already :) Trip was easy to book, the website allowed you to pre book accomodation at the right hotel beforehand. Making it 10x easier instead of booking multiple hotels.
