Henrique was an excellent tour guide and the tour was amazing! We were very happy with all of the experiences that were included with the tour and even the 2 optional ones as this gave us experiences that we would have never seen for ourselves. We had a great group of travelers in our group and Henrique went above and beyond to ensure that everyone could enjoy his country. Would definitely recommend this tour and Henrique as a tour guide.

Collette arranged 2 dinners at local homes where we could truly experience the culture of the Azores. We could not have done this on our own. We travelled with a small group and stayed at wonderful accommodations on 3 different islands and Lisbon. We enjoyed the scenery, food, and people of this beautiful country.

This tour has been the most exotic scenery, much history was learned! A culture that has survived with the past, has learned to be self sufficient from the world. From Happy Cows to lava vineyards, from mountains to the ocean, from colorful roadways to volcanic tunnels. The hot springs and pools to cooking inside the earth all just amazing. The best milk, cheese I have ever eaten. The array of fish (fresh) abundant. Azorean pineapple, banana a must to eat! I recommend this tour to anyone who appreciates the survival mode of people, loves exploring the land and sea as well as eating unusual and organic foods and great wine!

Diverse tour with historical and visual awe inspiring experiences. Great pace of visiting 3 different Azores islands then mainland Lisbon, each offering their unique aspects or the journey. A must take trip with a local guide who can share the significance you just could not get doing it on your own.

The beauty of each island is enhanced by the warmth of the residents. Each island is unique and it is difficult to choose a favorite experience. Sao Miguel - driving around the crater rim and seeing the lakes from two sides, Joao Andrade the basket weaver, the Gin Library. Terceira - the view of the green patchwork, wandering the streets of Angra, descending into Algar do Carvao, Faial - walking the marina and seeing the murals and watching one being painted, climbing the hill to the chapel, hearing the church bells outside the hotel. Pico - staying at Aldeia da Fonte, walking into town, and seeing parts of the Holy Spirit celebration. Lisbon - learning about the history and art scattered around town. The meals the group had together were delicious and always a good time made possible by the bonds that were formed thanks to José, our tour manager.
