Watch Craig give a sheep shearing demonstration before they get to cooking and fire up the BBQ for your Be My Guest lunch. On arrival in Australia’s modern capital of Canberra, you’ll embark on a tour through Parliament House with a Local Specialist. After a full first day, get to know your group over a drink at your hotel.

Venture out of the city and see it from above ascending the summit of towering Mt. Ainsley. The views are your perfect farewell to Canberra before crossing the mighty Murray River into the state of Victoria to take a step back in time and Dive Into Culture in one of Australia’s best-preserved gold rush towns, Beechworth. Wherever you explore in the Beechworth Historic Precinct, there’s plenty to see in the many historic buildings preserved from the gold rush days as well as in the honey and gold shops, galleries, and museums. Get the lowdown on the town over a chat with the publican of the historic local pub and enjoy afternoon tea in the oldest hotel in town. After a taste of the local fare, you'll travel to the nearby city of Wangaratta.

Immerse yourself in a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience on a guided galleries tour of our First Peoples arts and cultural centre, the Koorie Heritage Trust Gallery. Cruise by the Crown complex and consider coming back this evening for one of its super-chef's restaurants, designer boutiques, or indoor amusement park. After seeing so much of what awaits, you’ll no doubt be eager to explore more of this stylish city. Fortunately, you’re staying in a centrally located area, opposite - a fun area that comes alive at night. Pop back to an area you’d like to get to know better or tuck into a delicious seafood dinner and watch the sunset on the banks of the Yarra.

Very satisfied! We have done many trips with Trafalgar and have found that all trips have met our expectations! The itinerary, hotels, guides and bus drivers have all been to our liking and the guides and drivers very efficient and providing interesting and helpful information! Our latest guide Delmar Coulson and driver Daryl were as usual lovely friendly and helpful and competent people! We would highly recommend traveling with Trafalgar! Very interesting trip and informative and a good way to see the area from Sydney to Melbourne if you want a relaxing time and unable to drive this distance!

Travel director not that impressive. Information lacking. Had to book own hotel room in starting location. No tour of starting location. No tour in starting location. Would have loved to see something of Sidney.

We were handed off to AAT Kings. The tour director was not familiar with Trafalgar nor was AAT Kings. A lot of confusion and telephone calls. Was not anything special. I did not like the bed and breakfast stay or the dinner at the old hotel.

Trusted Customer   -  Traveled, June 2019

Disappointed down under. Dealing with Trafalgar online or by phone was great, the tour guide in Australia was not. She was truly unapproachable and a bit aggressive and rude. When i asked about my transfer a day early she told me not to worry about it that she would talk to me the next day... Well if i hadn't tracked her down on an excursion that I didn't sign up for I would have never seen her. I had to get up early on my last day to catch her before they left and she put my transfer info and trip survey under the wrong door! I've also never had to pay for the first night's hotel outside of the tour with it starting so early the next morning. And there was absolutely no information about Sydney. We basically got on the bus and left. A lot of people in the tour were disappointed. Not a fan of AATKINGS. I will use Trafalgar again in Europe but not Australia. You need a better partner connecting there! Australia us expensive and you will be limited most of the time to their picks for food, and they stop to much for food/ snack breaks.

A totally enjoyable experience.Yes I would definitely recommend Trafalgar Tours to others. Our Travel Director Frankie and Coach Driver Stuart were fantastic. They made the tour very enjoyable. We do not usually take guided tours but after this we will think again. A great reflection on the history of the tour route.

Below my expectation. Just travelling in a bus and listening to the guide reading from a script.Hotels were good. Bus was good. Only the tour was bad.
