Itinerary
Aloha! Your adventure begins on the sun-drenched beaches of Waikiki. Relax and “hang loose” before meeting your group tomorrow, there are no inclusions today.
Hotel Name: Prince Waikiki
This morning, take a city tour of Honolulu, highlighting the historic Iolani Palace, the impressive state capitol building, King Kamehameha’s statue, and the National Cemetery of the Pacific. Then, remember Pearl Harbor with a visit to the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument, viewing artifacts from the attack and a short documentary on the "Day of Infamy." Travel by naval launch to view the white marble-clad USS Arizona Memorial, honoring those who lost their lives in the Pearl Harbor attack.
Breakfast Included
Dinner Included
Admittance: Pearl Harbor
This lagoon harbor on the island of Oahu is an active military base, known for its harrowing World War II history. A U.S. Naval Base located there was attacked in 1941, devastating the area. The victims of the attack are honored in a series of memorials in the harbor.
Dive further into Hawaiian history with a visit to Iolani Palace to learn about the Hawaiian monarchs and the takeover of Hawaii by the United States. Then enjoy free time for lunch with recommendations from your Tour Manager for the best spots for a traditional plated lunch. Later stop at the Pali lookout in O’ahu’s rainforest before returning to Waikiki for an evening at your leisure.
Breakfast Included
Admittance: Polynesian Luau
As a way to commemorate a milestone, event or historic victory, the Luau began as a celebration with food and entertainment. Luau is the Hawaiian name for the Taro Leaf and today is represented in the common side dish of Poi (taro root starch) served alongside the succulent earth-oven-roasted Kalua pig. Traditional music and dance in the form of the hula and Samoan fire dance delight all participants as the stars begin twinkling in the sky.
Board your flight to the volcanic “Big Island” of Hawaii and leave cosmopolitan O’ahu behind. True to its name, the island itself is larger than all the other Hawaiian Islands combined. Although the island’s official name is the archipelago’s namesake, the Big Island is also famous for its volcanoes creating black, rocky landscapes. Upon arrival, pause at the iridescent mist of Rainbow Falls before having time to explore Hilo on your own for lunch. Then set out for a tour of the South Coast including a visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to learn about Kilauea – the world’s most active volcano. Make your way along the steam bluffs to get a view of the impressive caldera. On the way to the hotel take in views of the crystal-clear waters of Kealakekua Bay and visit one of the iconic black sand beaches where you may luck out in spotting a green turtle soaking up the sun.
Breakfast Included
Hotel Name: Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa
Visit Area: Waimea Canyon
Known as “the Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” Waimea Canyon is about 10 miles long and up to 3,000 feet deep. Located on the island of Kaua’i, its name is Hawaiian for “reddish water,” depicting the erosion of the red canyon soil by a river.
This morning, take time to relax at your resort and look out over Big Island’s rocky coastline. In the afternoon, head into Kailua-Kona — a town established by King Kamehameha I before he unified the Kingdom of Hawaii. After, enjoy ample time to peruse the shops and grab a bite of lunch on your own before returning to the hotel for a lei making class taught by a local expert. Learn about its cultural significance and create one of your own to bring home. This evening, enjoy dinner Hawaiian-style, at a traditional Polynesian luau* featuring endless tropical drinks and a sumptuous feast.

A Story of Hard Work and a Passion for Travel “Our first office was so tiny that if you took a step backwards, you fell down an open hole that was stairs to the basement. Now we are a worldwide company with offices in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.” – Alice I. Sullivan, Chairperson of the Collette Board.Collette is about family As his family grew, Dan’s children took on active roles in the company – in sales, tour development, marketing, tour guiding, and in its charitable arm. Working with a team of dedicated employees, they all stayed true to the original vision of expanding travel opportunities for everyone. That tradition continued as Dan’s eldest child, Dan Sullivan Jr., took the reins as President and CEO in 1990 and the company flourished. Collette_HQ_380x250_v2 The third generation of Sullivans entered the company in the early 2000s, and in 2018 Dan Sullivan Jr.’s daughter, Jaclyn Leibl-Cote, became President & Chief Customer Experience Officer. In 2023, after she successfully steered Collette through the global pandemic, Dan proudly turned the CEO role over to Jaclyn and transitioned to Executive Chairman of the Board. Mrs. Leibl-Cote is only the 4th CEO in the company’s history and its first female leader, making Collette one of the rare companies successfully transfer to the 3rd generation of leadership.

My favorite experiences: watching a volcano eruption, extra trip to Hana, extra trip on boat to watch the whales, Pearl Harbor I think that a trip to the Dole Plantation should be included on any trip to Hawaii. Most of us wanted to see the plantation.

Our tour manager was excellent. Our tour stops were educational and very picturesque. Our hotels were beautiful and great locations with amazing views. However, the cost of additional meals was very expensive, and the menu choices were limited.

Tour group of 46 was too large for guide to handle. Last 3 days in Maui were boring...nothing to do or see other than optional Trip to Hana which was highlight of trip. Luau last evening was great.
