Continue along the coast to the capital, Rabat. Here you’ll embark on an orientation tour of the city which includes views of the grand 17-century Palace and Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Traveling to the imperial city of Meknès, you'll see the grand gate of Bab elMansour, one of the most impressive monumental gateways in North Africa, adorned by green and white zeillij tiles. Follow the old caravan trail south, stopping for a lunch in Midelt, a market town set within the high plains between the Middle and High Atlas mountain ranges. Continuing along the palm-fringed Ziz Valley and past the Tafilalt oasis, you'll arrive in the oasis town of Erfoud, regarded as the 'Gateway to the Sahara'. Its golden façades and towering dunes have made it a popular location for filmmakers for decades. This evening we dine at our hotel.

Relax with a leisurely morning, or you may prefer to explore the desert town of Rissani. This afternoon we experience a traditional lunch of Madfouna, also known as ‘Berber Pizza’. Later, continue to Great Erg Chebbi where we are transported into the heart of the dunes to your authentic Nomad-style accommodation for the night. This evening witness the most unforgettable sunset before dining with local music and dancers. The night sky of the Sahara offers a magical view of the stars, planets and constellations, discover how the Nomads used these for navigation.

Wonderful location, poor hotels, and tiresome shopping. Be aware of the very aggressive solicitation by merchants and busters. If you don't enjoy haggling and fending vendors off the souks and Medinas will be really stressful. The people and geography are spectacular especially the Atlas mountains, seaside towns and of course the Sahara. The itinerary was excellent as far the cities and areas visited. Our coach was beautiful and clean with great A/C and WiFi. The down side was too much time shopping and too many meals. The worst was Fes Carpet with high pressure sales tactics including isolation (particularly solo women travelers) manipulation and decision fatigue. Bordered on emotional abuse and the local guides participated. There was obviously a financial incentive for the tour company. Some of the hotels were in disrepair and dirty.

Loved Morocco, saw and experienced so much on this trip. The guide was knowledgeable and super-helpful. The booking process was relatively easy. The trip was wonderful, I saw so much and had a fabulous time. However, almost everyone in our group got a stomach bug. I suggest that Trafalgar review the places they take their guests to eat to prevent a similar incident in future.

Very efficient and professional Director; very good and safe Driver; Local Specialists dominating knowledge of locals. Hotels not always good enough. Xalucas very good; Marriot very good. Itinerary could have been improved: since we couldn't visit palaces in Marraquesh because of damages with the earthquake, we could, at least, have visited La Menara Gardens.

Both the Tour Director and Driver were exceptional. The TD was very well organized and informed and was able to provide details about the venues, vistas and villages that enhanced the total experience. The Driver provided us with a safe and smooth trip often negotiating traffic that can only be described as chaotic. With the exception of the hotel in Casablanca, the hotels were very comfortable. The itinerary provided a variety of experiences and was well paced providing ample stops throughout the travel day. The coach was comfortable; the TD worked hard to have our original coach changed out for a more comfortable one.

Tour of Morocco. I liked the the tour as a hold was good. My only issue was the hotel in Marrakesh was not up to the standards as the other hotels. Had to change room due to very strong sewer smell. Our tour guide was very knowledge, but my opinion is he is no longer up to handling a large group. He would be better served if he had an assistant or if he did local tours for small groups. His train of thought was often derailed if someone asked a question. The itinerary was fine no issues.

The tour director was pretty horrible. You need a new tour director. Your tour director was a real let down. I would like to give all the reasons in a different format. I don’t know how he has lasted as long as he has.
