This morning, explore the UNESCO World Heritage town of Modica with a visit to a local chocolate workshop to uncover the secrets of its traditional recipe. Later, in Ragusa, your Local Specialist reveals how a 17th-century earthquake reshaped this UNESCO-listed city—leading to the rise of elegant Ragusa Superiore above, while resilient locals rebuilt Ragusa Ibla below. You may choose to take a boat ride to the island of Ortigia, the ancient heart of Syracuse, linked to the mainland by a stone bridge or simply spend the afternoon strolling through the city’s atmospheric streets at your own pace. Great travel company. Love Trafalgar this was my 7th trip with them. Everything runs so smoothly. Travel directors and bus drivers are very professional. The hotels are nice, clean and usually within walking distance to town. The meals are great. The local specialists are very informative and knowledgeable. Great trip, the meals we had were absolutely amazing, the seafood was unbelievable. We had some terrific meals. The villages were so nice and the people. Mt. Etna was a great time, windy but how often do you get to walk on an active volcano. The water is beautiful too, pictures don't do it justice. Our travel director Gianluca and bus driver were great, extremely funny too. It was a great trip I highly recommend going. Shut out to Gianluca for handling my luggage that the airline misplaced.

The best tour director. Laura was an exceptional tour director. Her energy and enthusiasm were never ending and she went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a memorable time. Loved the additional experiences and visits to Vitelli’s bar and Mt. Etna.
