Welcome to Auckland! (Flights to arrive prior to 4pm). Your New Zealand tour kicks off in the 'City of Sails' where you’ll meet your Travel Director and group for dinner at The Grill, as you look forward to your New Zealand adventures.

After a relaxed start, set your sights firmly on New Zealand's national game: rugby. The interactive All Blacks Experience explores an introduction to the game as a part of New Zealand culture. Afterwards, get the lay of the land on a city sightseeing tour viewing the beautiful waterfront of Mission Bay, historic overlook of Bastion Point, and spacious gardens and sunken pool at the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial, showing off views of Waitemata Harbour and the North Shore. You pass the Auckland Museum, located on the dormant volcano Pukekawa, meaning 'hill of bitter memories' referring to tribal battles fought on the site until 1828. You have some time free to explore. Easy to book through AAA, although I don't think my travel agent know it was an ATT King trip, if he did he never mentioned it. We'll planned and I enjoyed the overview of New Zealand. Great overview of New Zealand. *Personal information removed by Feefo*, our tour guide really made the trip seamless. Knowledge, kind and considerate. The trip was well planned out and I enjoyed the ability to participate in extra activities during our down time outside of the tour. Trafalgar has become our go-to family vacation for major celebrations and trips. We appreciate having a local guide, the chance to learn something as we go, and making friends with others on the tour group. We booked this as our last big family trip before our only daughter went off to college, and what an amazing experience it was! We knew we would love the country, but we always go with Trafalgar because of the friends we make with our group, and all the neat little experiences that we wouldn't even think to try. In particular the Hobbiton day, Te Pa Tu, and guided stargazing are the most amazing vacation experiences we've ever had. On this trip we even had a weather related disruption that would have ended most trips but our director had the whole thing figured out before we even landed. We're Trafalgar Travelers for life.

Trafalgar did a great job organizing our trip to New Zealand. We saw so much in a 2 week timeframe from the North Island to the South Island. Our accommodations were comfortable. The meals were well scheduled. They were always served timely and were delicious. And, truly a taste of NZ. Our tour director and coach drivers were professional and knowledgeable of the country. Being homegrown, they were able to give us so much history and knowledge of the country. Awesome trip! The itinerary was perfect for our time in New Zealand. We were given the opportunity to really explore and learn so much about city life and the countryside. Our tour director, Andie and the coach drivers did an exceptional job providing so much knowledge about NZ and getting our group from point to point efficiently and timely. It was truly a trip of our lifetime.

The hotel in Rotorua (Millennium Rotorua) didn't fit in with all the other amazing hotels (that goes for food and accommodation). Other than that, the trip was outstanding!

Hope was the perfect, knowledgeable tour director and very much a mother hen to every member of our travelling whanau (family). She made us feel safe and informed of any changes that were required to be made well ahead of time. *Personal information removed by Feefo* and *Personal information removed by Feefo* (the tour drivers) were friendly, easy to talk to (outside of the coach) and drove smoothly. Ten out of ten for service!!! As a Lord of the Rings and Hobbit fan, this was the perfect tour. For the most part, i felt like we had plenty of time to do our own thing and the included planned activities, although I would suggest an additional day or two in Rotorua so people get the opportunity to enjoy the hot springs.
