  • London: What does a modular trip mean? A modular trip means fellow travellers will join and leave at various locations. There’ll be some goodbyes, sure, but there’ll also be plenty of hellos with new like-minded travellers.
  • London: Who will I room with if I book additional nights before my trip?  You'll stay in a Twin share room (meaning you'll be paired with a fellow traveller of the same gender, and will have two separate beds). If you're booking your trip with a friend/travel companion - just let us know, so we can join your bookings and ensure you share a room. Need a lil' more privacy? The name "Contiki" comes from the portmanteau 'Con' from the word 'Continent' and 'Tiki'; from the Māori referring to the first man, often symbolised as a pendant known as hei-tiki. It can also be attributed to the New Zealand slang 'Tiki-tour' describing taking a longer route to a destination in order to explore.[5]

The round trip with Contiki was one of the best experiences I have ever had. There is absolutely nothing I would change. I found the strict schedule a pleasant change. You immediately noticed how well thought out everything was and that there was a lot of experience behind everything.

It was a really incredible experience, full of wonderful humans. I am so glad I did both segments of the trip bc we saw a ton of England during that first week. The trip manager and driver that we had were both amazing dudes and did so much to make sure everyone got the most out of the trip. Very easy to book and I actually ended up extending a couple of weeks before we left and that was easy as well. Would’ve liked more detail about the itinerary and add on activities during booking.

Trip was really fun, Sam was a great tour guide. Would have liked to have seen more of Manchester other than just staying the night. Overall fun time.

I loved this trip, however was a bit upset about the fact that we were not staying 1 night in York we were 1 1/2 hours outside of York. That was the only flaw.

Was absolutely amazing trip and very well organised by our trip manager. The views in the highlands where breathe taking and I would highly recommend to anyone to do this trip I really look forward to coming back and experiencing it again. The only thing I would’ve liked was a bit more time in Manchester even a day trip to experience such a main city in England and be able to stop by the stadiums in the day and explore but other than the limited time in Manchester it was flawless couldn’t have asked for anything more at all stops in Scotland where perfect and England was mostly amazing.

Anna and Raf took us on an incredible tour of England and Scotland! Every activity we did was worthwhile and educational, and we had enough free time to see museums and restaurants on our own. Just traveling between cities was fun, as we had a beautiful view of the countryside and a knowledgeable tour guide! The highlands experience with the cows and curling was by far our favorite. We’d do this trip again tomorrow if we could!

I loved everything about this trip. The places we went, the activities, our trip manager and bus driver and the people i met along the way. Everything was top notch and I highly recommend. My only complaint was the ibis budget in Glasgow, the shower not having its own bathroom and a see through door, but apart from that. Everything was great. Very easy to book. Love that I can pay it off over time. I booked online and everything was made simple.
