Tour directors were both excellent. Friendly, professional and totally organised. I think the training Insight has is very good because all tour directors we have had have been excellent. I loved the combination of land tour plus a Greek island cruise. It maximised sightseeing and was varied and interesting. Loved seeing the classical Greek ruins and learning of the history. Loved seeing the monasteries of Meteora & eating delicious Greek food. We had 2 different tour directors for each section and both were well organised, friendly and professional. A credit to Insight.

Prior to embarking on the trip, communication with Insight was completed through emails to which Insight responded promptly and comprehensively. However, I would have enjoyed a real person on the line to assure me that our understanding of the trip details was accurate. For example, I did not know until two days before we departed that we would be on a Celestial cruise to see the Greek islands. It would have been nice to have this information prior to booking the trip. We compared several travel companys' itineraries and found the Grecian Fables most comprehensive in terms of the important sites we wanted to see in Greece.

Knowledgeable tour guides and great venues.Lots of historical sites visited. The pace was just right. Besides time spent sitting in the air-conditioned bus, during the land tour, one must be able to hike & walk A LOT under 90-105°F full sun. We were surprised that we had two different tour guides. Though both guides were very good, part of the first group broke off to join a different tour. Second group comprised of travelers from Trafalgar. Overall, we also enjoyed the cruise on Celystal Jouney. Good food, clean cabin and attentive staff. This cruise is relatively smaller than the other, but we did appreciated less crowded ship.
