Our springboard to the spellbinding ancient trading history of Jordan is the white stone city of Amman, which you will have an opportunity to explore at your leisure after being transferred to your hotel from the airport. Meet your fellow travelers this evening for a drink followed by dinner.

This morning, embark on a city tour of Amman to see its Citadel, Archaeological Museum, Roman Amphitheater and Folklore Museum. Our next stop is to Iraq al-Amir where you’ll visit the Iraq al-Amir Women's Association for a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. Learn first-hand how they make soap from olive oil and craft greeting cards and notebooks from recycled paper. Try your hand at making your own before enjoying a lunch prepared by the women. Continue to the ancient city of Jerash, a favorite city of the Roman emperor Hadrian and an important stop on the incense and spice trade route to the Mediterranean. Amble past its soaring Corinthian columns and view its almost intact city walls, before returning to the seven hills of Amman, where tonight you’ll Connect With Locals on a Be My Guest experience featuring a meal of Jordanian favorites.

The rose-red facades of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, are waiting. Journey along the King’s Highway to Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land. See the 6th-century Madaba Mosaic Map and explore the crusader stronghold of Shobak Castle. Later, arrive in Petra and Dive into Culture as you learn how to make traditional Bedouin cardamom-spiced coffee before enjoying dinner with a local tribe. This morning, journey through desert landscapes of Wadi Rum. Mohammad &Trafalgar bring a wonderful tour of Jordan. Our guide Mohammad Qamheyeh and his knowledge, care & friendliness made this tour spectacular. Jordan is an amazing country but it was made even better. The facilities at Wadi Rum weren't as clean as I'd hoped.

Jordan Experience . My Jordan Experience was absolutely amazing. All of the tour contacts went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience available in a very foreign country. We were not on the list for our transfer upon arrival because we had to change our flights at the last minute. They made it work at the airport. It was middle of the night and no taxis. We were very fortunate. Jordan is just an incredible country. The people, the history - everything was so worth seeing. It's scary to plan for the middle east in today's climate but I am so glad I went! The itinerary was great, the guides were amazing. We were fortunate to get one of the very few females guides in the country and Raina was fantastic! The buses were not what I was use to but not bad at all. The hotel in Amman was not as centrally located as I would have liked but we did not have enough time or energy to really matter! The hotel in Petra was unique and while most rooms seemed to be good, our shower was horrible. They did fix the shower head, but it was just a very awkward angle that made it difficult to bathe. Otherwise, it was great. Again, not as central, but you are so exhausted, it doesn't really matter!

Having a Trafalgar representative meeting us at the airport and helping us with the Jordan visa during arrival, and having another Trafalgar representative meeting us at the airport after the shuttle dropped us off and he guided us before seeing us off at the Jordan Passport Control were helpful. The itinerary was good but the tour director should give us more warning about walking on uneven grounds, such as in Jerash and the cobblestone in Petra.

Trafalgar & Insight tours are always high standard - Both the Drivers & Guides are incredibly polite and readily assist their tourists, they are continually keeping everyone's safety & security paramount, as well as maintaining the Fun factor. Full & in depth tour of Jordan's history, religions and breathtaking sites - enhanced by the Driver & Guides cultural infusion Both the Driver & Guide treated us as Family - this was the BEST tour all round that I've been on.. Fun, Fascinating & Friendly Trafalgar & Insight tours are always high standard - just wish all tours were this enjoyable and heartwarming

The Trafalgar trip was excellent. Our guide was very good and the hotels and meals excellent. Our only complaint is Royal Jordanian Airline. We receivfed an email from them before we left the States telling us that our flight time home was later in the morning than originally booked. Obviously, Trafalgar got the same information since we were sent to the airport at 8:00 with plenty of time for the 11 something flight. When we got to the airport, the ticket person said that the flight was not at 11 something but the original time. She told us we were too late but that she would give us boarding passes in case the flight was delayed. Fortunately, it was delayed and we made the flight. The aircraft was very comfortable and the meals good.

Our trip to Egypt was very well organized. Great, expert tour director. Accommodations were excellent to very good. The tour was very well organized and we saw everything we could see in the time we had. Our tour director was truly expert in Egyptian history. HIs stories and descriptions were very interesting and thorough. Everything we wanted in a trip. Petra was an exceptional experience - what we wanted to visit Jordan for. Our tour director could have been a little better organized, but the attraction took care of itself for the most part.

Mohamed, our guide in Amman and at Petra, was quite knowledge on the history of Jordan and was easy to understand. He was always available and willing to guide us throughout our excursions. Amer, who guided us to Wadi Rum, although very friendly, was rather reticent; there would be long intervals of no commentary.

Efficient and flexible. The Trafalgar team on the ground was efficient and responsive. They managed an unwieldy group smoothly and the drivers and local guides were all very experienced. It was particularly good that they assessed our group's interests and adjusted the tour program to discard what we weren't interested in and incorporate some wonderful 'hidden gems'. A fleeting visit to a fascinating country with a guide who revealed the highlights in an efficient, flexible program, with lots of well-informed background information as we went.
