Amazing 11 days with fantastic local trip managers who knew all the animals, plants and parks like the back of their hand. We saw all Big 5 within days including cheetah, leopard and lion kills. The parks chosen to visit give a lot of variety to each game drive so it's never repetitive! Our TM's were a wealth of knowledge and extremely personable and witty- great banter and always happy to help. Days could be long up to 10 hrs game driving but we saw so many animals and big cats so it was worth it. The accommodation was superb, staying in the actual reserves was incredible, listening to lion calls while falling asleep. Mozzie nets provided and bottled water at all lodges. All the food offered was delicious, mainly buffets with local and western style dishes and catered for lots of dietary restrictions. Only 2-3 meals not included In the price which is far better than other tour companies. The trip is a smaller contiki group than other European ones, we had 8 for Kenya and 6 for Tanzania but two safari jeeps and two trip managers so it was a close knit group. The slum tour and Masai village tour was eye opening and a must do. I didn't feel unsafe once and all the locals we met were friendly and excited to meet us. Overall, not a party contiki but beers and a safari sunset while enjoying all that Africa has to offer is once in a lifetime opportunity. Tip: bring sanitary products for the women at the Masai village to give at the end of the female discussion.

An African Safari has been on my bucket list for years and the Kenya & Tanzania Safari exceeded all of my expectations! It was an amazing once in a life time trip. The guides were wonderful and very knowledgeable. They were excellent in knowing where the animals could be and getting us as close as they could to them. All of the add on activities were 100% worth the money and time. The Village tour and the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary were highlights of the trip. If you are even slightly considering doing a safari in Africa with Contiki let this be your sign to just do it. You won't regret it.

Omg this trip was amazing! I have no words to describe how incredible my experience was, from seeing the animals in the wild to the learning about the culture. I have learnt more in the last few days on this trip than I ever did at school, both tour guides were filled with so much knowledge & took us to some pretty epic places. I could not recommend the tour & the tour guides enough, I will be speaking about this trip to the day I did. I loved it sooo much. I went through a travel agent so super easy & very straight forward!

This trip is non-stop, but so worth it! *Personal information removed by Feefo* was our guide through Kenya & *Personal information removed by Feefo* guided through Tanzania. Both of them were wonderful and did their best to ensure we got as much out of the trip as possible. Was lucky to see all of the big five (including being chased by a rhino )), and even a cheetah successfully hunt. The food is also incredible along the way as well! You won't regret going on this tour.

This is just one of those trips... if you are considering going then PLEASE do. As a single woman travelling to Africa alone, there were plenty of people that were worried about me coming on this trip. By the time it ended, I was uncontrollably crying that it was over.. I just wanted to start the 11 days all over again. The tour felt very luxurious, all of the food and accommodation was incredible and our guides *Personal information removed by Feefo* for Kenya, and *Personal information removed by Feefo* for Tanzania - were the stars of the show. They were so fun, planned everything to the last detail and sat with us for every meal so they just felt like one of the group. We saw everything we wanted to see and then some including some very rare sightings from the leopard to the serval cat and porcupine. Our tour guides were true professionals and even put a lot of effort into making sure every animal was shown in the right lighting from a good angle to get the best photo. I can't recommend this trip highly enough and I hope you have as incredible a time as I did! The trip was easy to book and help was always a quick phone call away. I was always so impressed that I never had to wait on hold and all my concerns could be sorted very quickly.

A Fantastic East Africa Adventure with Contiki! Initially, we had some reservations about booking a group tour for our East Africa journey, especially as I had plans to propose during the trip. However, by the end of the experience, it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Contiki’s East Africa tour truly exceeded all our expectations and created memories we’ll cherish forever. Kenya - A Perfect Start with *Personal information removed by Feefo* as Our Guide Our journey began in Kenya, and right from the start, we were impressed. Our tour guide, *Personal information removed by Feefo*, was not only knowledgeable but also deeply passionate about his country’s history, culture, and wildlife. He took time to make sure we understood every detail about the places we visited, from the Maasai Mara to the bustling streets of Nairobi. But what really stood out was how *Personal information removed by Feefo* went above and beyond to help me with my proposal plan. He was incredibly supportive and made sure everything went smoothly, offering advice and even helping with the logistics to ensure the moment was perfect. Tanzania - JB’s Warmth and Expertise Next, we headed to Tanzania, and we were welcomed by *Personal information removed by Feefo*, our guide. *Personal information removed by Feefo* was friendly, approachable, and incredibly accommodating. He made sure that everyone’s concerns were addressed, whether it was about the itinerary, food preferences, or any special requests we had. His warm demeanor and personal attention made us feel incredibly comfortable throughout the tour. It’s clear that *Personal information removed by Feefo* genuinely cares about the guests and wants everyone to have a memorable experience. He is also very knowledgeable about the animals and he will take his time to explain about the animals. Accommodation – Comfortable and Unique Stays The accommodation throughout the tour was clean, comfortable, and unique to each destination. In Kenya, we stayed in lovely lodges and tented camps that were both luxurious and immersive in nature, providing a great balance of adventure and relaxation. In Tanzania, while the accommodations were equally comfortable and well-maintained, there was a slight hiccup: there was no Wi-Fi in the rooms. However, Wi-Fi was available in the common areas, which didn’t take away from the overall experience. After all, being in such stunning surroundings, we didn’t mind disconnecting a little! Overall Experience - Highly Recommended for Young Couples Looking back, this tour was everything we had hoped for and more. It’s perfect for young couples, especially if you’re planning something special like a proposal. Contiki’s team is wonderful at making sure every detail is taken care of, allowing you to fully enjoy the incredible wildlife, landscapes, and cultures of East Africa. From the awe-inspiring safaris to the unforgettable moments, we felt like we got to experience the heart of Africa in a way we couldn’t have on our own. If you’re thinking of visiting Kenya and Tanzania, I highly recommend this tour. And if you’re planning a proposal, Contiki is the way to go – they’re incredibly accommodating and will make sure your special moment is truly unforgettable. Thank you, Contiki and the awesome trip managers, for an unforgettable experience! Nil.

One of the most incredible adventures of my life seeing all sorts of animals amongst a variety of stunning backdrops like Serengeti, a crater, Mt Kilimanjaro etc. The lodges were nice and the glamping tent night was my favorite. There was tasty buffet food at each accommodation and lunchboxes on the safari days. The trip managers, JB and Haron, were friendly and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to show us the elusive animals. Each location felt different and worthy of seeing in the itinerary. Overall an enjoyable trip and experience to remember for a lifetime!

This was one of the most incredible trips I've ever been on! 11 days of adventure split between several beautiful parks and reserves with fellow travelers who you become good friends with! The guides are knowledgeable and got us really close to most of the animals, which helped make the experience unforgettable. If you want an action packed adventure full of incredible sites and majestic animals, this is the tour for you! The trip was really easy to book, the website made booking seamless. The itinerary was clearly documented and visa information was promptly displayed. The only thing I would suggest is maybe have a clearly labeled section about recommended vaccines/medication for the trip.
