No introduction or message from our tour guide prior to starting the tour. The first time we met him was in the hotel lobby. All other tours mention how they hear from their guide prior to the start of the trip. Wonderful itinerary, beautiful accommodations, delicious food and good guides. Saw just about everything in Kenya and Tanzania.

The only issue I had was firming up the trip and getting a definitive go date. This made it difficult to make specific travel plans. By having the starting and ending points in different countries made for increased air fare cost. The experience was unbelievable in both Kenya and Tanzania. Hotels were above average, with the food about average. Guides were excellent and ever so knowledgeable about the animals and cultures of the area. Riding in the jeep was a bit rough and I would not recommend this for someone with a bad back. Also it is hard to hear the guide when riding in the 2nd or third row of seats. I would recommend that the guide use a boom mike and those that have a hard time hearing wear a headset. This would greatly improve the experience.

African Safari adventure was better than I expected. The guys were great accommodations were great. The food was not to our liking. But everybody was wonderful. The only thing that upset us was the change in the resorts midway through our trip. Trafalgar should be able to secure the resorts that were promised before the trip. The substitutes were fine, but not what was promised.

Every day of our 7 day Kenya, 7 day Tanzania trip was perfect. We are still talking about how wonderful it was. The lodging, food, drivers, porters were all top notch and we have zero complaints. We saw so much in our 14 day itinerary. There wasn't much downtime but that's exactly what we wanted. We loved the safari drives but also enjoyed going to the school in Nairobi and meeting the children and their incredible staff and also going to the Maasai Village and learning about their culture. Of course the main star was the animals and we saw so many up close. We were trying to think of animals we didn't see and couldn't think of a one.

This is our third trip with Trafalgar. They really know how to put itineraries together to leave a very lasting impression. In all our trips, we were able to maximize our experience in an stress-free environment. Highly recommended! Excellent experience, action packed with a lot of big 5 sightings! The tour started off in Kenya and then ended in Tanzania. Great guides in both locations who were able to educate while also show us all the birds and animals. Highly recommended!

The repeat traveller gifts could be books of the area not breakables. Handicap unfriendly-getting in/out vehicles. Meals are very spaced out so not easy to manage diet requirements (ex: diabetic). Roads are physically gruelling in the range rovers (Kenya highways are very poor in particular) A microphone in the back of our vehicle would be great so we could hear our guide/drivers talking on safari The accommodations were good. The people in both Kenya and Tanzania were wonderful. This was our 15th Trafalger trip and was a great experience Read less

Information on the type of vehicle used on the safari. I purchased long sleeved 100% sunproof tops and trousers to wear assuming we would be in open sided 4wd, like some of the other tours we encountered. The Trafalgar 4wds were a far better option, after going on another short tour afterwards with another company and was in an open side vehicle. Also advice to bring binoculars would be good (or our travel agent should have told us)
