Itinerary

1

Day 1: Dubrovnik/Cavtat

Arrive in time for a 4pm welcome meeting and safety briefing. Spend the night in Croatian waters.
Please try to arrive at the meeting point before 4pm for an important group meeting where you can meet the Chief Experience Officer (CEO), skipper, and the other group members.

On our Montenegro sailing trip the G Adventures Skipper/CEO will help you make a food kitty, where 500 HRK (Croatian Kuna) per person, per week will be added to the kitty for small food items on board to cover breakfasts, lunches and the odd dinner.
Breakfasts and lunches are prepared by yourself, and most dinners are taken ashore at local restaurants.

2

Day 2: Cavtat/Herceg Novi

Spend a full day sailing south to Herceg Novi, Montenegro. The best beaches in this scenic area are only accessible by boat.

3

Day 3: Herceg Novi/Budva

Sail to the Budva Riviera. Explore some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, nestled beneath the cliffs of Spas Hill. Well-known as the regional capital of nightlife, there no shortage of clubs along the seaside promenade.
Soak up the sun on the many picturesque rocky and sandy beaches of Budva, or explore the Old Town filled with history and monuments.

In the evening take your pick of the many bars and restaurants along the Riviera and enjoy a drink watching the sunset over the crystal blue waters.

4

Day 4: Budva/Bigovo

Enjoy a day for snorkelling and swimming in the crystal-clear waters near the village of Bigovo. Enjoy the feel of this small fishing village.

5

Day 5: Bigovo/Kotor

Continue sailing to the ancient Mediterranean port of Kotor. Part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site, enjoy the limestone cliffs overhanging this submerged river canyon.

6

Day 6: Kotor/Tivat

Enjoy the town of Tivat. Opt to visit the city, the botanical gardens or a number of monuments. or just continue relaxing on its lovely beaches.

7

Day 7: Tivat/Dubrovnik

Sail back to Dubrovnik and stop by the dramatic city walls for a photo op.

8

Day 8: Dubrovnik/Adriatic Sea

Free morning to explore Dubrovnik. Enjoy a nightcap with new crew mates on the boat and get to know fellow passengers.
Spend the morning exploring Dubrovnik and meet back at 4pm for an important group meeting with your new Chief Experience Officer (CEO), skipper, and the other group members. The boat will be departing soon after the arrival meeting.

9

Day 9-13: Adriatic Sea

While traveling the Dalmatian coast by sailboat, explore ancient Roman ruins and discover secluded beaches. Opt to hike through the national park in Mljet that inspired Odysseus for years or take a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Dubrovnik, which offer insight into Croatian culture and architecture. Anchor in the quiet bay of Milna, Hvar, and opt to experience the vibrant night life on land. Explore the beaches as the tide comes in and shifts their shape. Enjoy free time to explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. The city boasts plenty of churches, monasteries, fountains, and plazas to discover.
Our 15m (50 ft) nimble yacht is the perfect platform to explore the gorgeous Adriatic islands. Flexibility is key to adapt to local weather conditions, and the skipper will modify the itinerary to our advantage while sailing. Possible stops include: Brač, Mljet, Korčula, and Hvar.

10

Day 14: Adriatic Sea/Trogir

Weigh anchor early morning for the last passage to Trogir. Before crossing the Brač Channel, find a picturesque inlet to enjoy lunch before entering the marina in Trogir. Enjoy the last night aboard, or join the rest of the group for an optional group dinner in Split while reminiscing about the epic journey through the Adriatic Sea.

11

Day 15: Trogir/Split

Disembark the ship in the morning after breakfast. Then, enjoy an included transfer from Trogir to the Hotel Corner in Split where the tour ends on arrival.

If you would like extra time in Split after the sailing journey is finished, we recommend booking extra time.

This is my 3rd trip with G Adventures and I really appreciated how consistently everything is organised, planned and up to the standard as described in the itinerary. As a single travel, I have found it the most effective way to join a sailing tour. Moreover, the CEOs are incredibly knowledgeable and generous with their ideas. I always find myself experiencing the country authentically and through a local lens.

Sail Montenegro was as advertised but felt the Croatian portion was misleading from the company?s description not sure I'd like to put my name behind G to friends and family

Kane P   -  Traveled, June 2023

The Yacht was great and the CEO was excellent but there was definitely a few details that were different from the brief we received when booking the trip to what was on the trip. Other G Adventures have been great and Montenegro was great just things in The Croatian portion were strategically worded which rubbed the wrong way.

I loved sailing and having a place to leave my things (without having to repack every day). The only factor to consider would be the tight spaces in the rooms (which I didn't mind but some might!)
