Welcome to day one of your Oktoberfest trip in Munich! After meeting and greeting at our accommodation, we'll then take an orientation of the city - your chance to pick up a dirndl or lederhosen for those keen to dress like the locals. Here are some facts to get you in the know: There are 14 main beer tents, the biggest holding 11,000 party people, so get your checklist as you make your way through as many as you can.

We've got a full day at the fest today! Options mostly involve eating traditional food like pork knuckle, drinking beer out of steins, hopping from festival tents to amusement rides and generally living our best Bavarian lives. We'll soon understand why this is one of the most famous parties in the world…

Rise and shine and shake off those cobwebs this morning - just the way you like. overall Oktoberfest was amazing. There was lack of information regarding the hostel room numbers - we were a group of 6, so were told they were quad shares only so we split up only to realize both groups were actually in 6 people rooms meaning we could have all been together. Lack of info regarding the excursions. especially the fact we couldn't go into the castle that we took the 2hour bus ride to. overall the actual trip was average but the festival was amazing. Ill be going again but not with a tour like contiki - didn't feel it was value for money.

I was disappointed with transport. This was my fourth contiki and all others had provided a coach. I was disappointed we had to use public transport and then spoke to other contiki people who were in hostels and camping and they were provided with a coach. We only had one pick up time from Oktoberfest which was 9pm at night otherwise we had to get our own way back to the hotel if we wanted to leave earlier or later. Other people on the other contiki a had several different pick up times with their coach so I was very disappointed with the amount of money we paid for our package that people who paid much less to camp and stay in hotels got a coach and we did not.

The cost of the room was to high for the quality. There was an issue with the planning of the tours. We're misinformed before trip AND had conflicts with time.

This Contiki trip is just a money pit for Contiki. It said we were getting a bus transfer daily to and from our hotel to Oktoberfest but instead we were given train/public bus tickets. Your not promised reserved tables at Oktoberfest and had to find your own. don't really see the point in this tour.
