Very informative about the history and geography of Indonesia and Bali In particular. Lots of historical facts to process, and explained well by Ari. He was particularly attentive to my needs, when in motion and otherwise due to my age.

Ari was one of the best tour leaders I've had with Intrepid! The trip was great (including food and driver) - I only wish the trip itinerary allowed for more time to enjoy the pools and beaches.

Loved the contrast between Java and Bali on this trip and would definitely recommend it rather than just going to Bali as many people do. Our tour leader Maman was a gem!

Kay   -  Traveled, June 2023

This tour was OK but not quite up to expectations. Our leader, Nova, was great. There are some long travel times as local traffic can be very heavy. Jakarta and Canggu were underwhelming but the more rural areas of Yogyakarta and Ubud were much better.

Julie   -  Traveled, May 2023

Had a wonderful trip and got to experience many different sides to Indonesia with each stop offering really unique experiences (Jakarta, Jogya, Bali Mtns, Bali Beach). Our main guide and all the local guides & drivers were great too - friendly and knowledgeable. The hotels were excellent and the food...the food! I couldn't fit enough chili sauce in my suitcase to come home. This was my 1st trip traveling solo and it couldn't have gone better, I felt very safe and made friends with some of the others on the trip. For others' consideration in booking, the itinerary is pretty full and is mostly cultural and religious activities (as opposed to more nature/active activities) but was a wonderful experience.

Amazing trip with a great itinerary. I loved being able to submerge myself into the Indonesian culture by spending time with the locals, the village visit was one of my greatest highlights. And being able to see most of the must see attractions was great. We had an incredible guide “Ari” who made the trip 10x more enjoyable because of his enthusiasm and positive energy.

12 days premium Indonesia was just a perfect trip, perfect itinerary, reasonably priced, very good hotel stays and good food. Just make sure to add 2 more days at the end of your trip in Bali as the Bali side of the itinerary does not include lots of popular places due to it being super busy with long queues. So you can explore that on your own after the trip ends. But overall I highly recommend this trip.

A great trip covering multiple areas of Java and Bali with a great tour leader. Would have preferred a quieter secluded location for the feature stay in Ubud but this would not have been practical given the traffic.

This tour is a great mix of citylife, countrylife, breathtaking scenery, culture, great food and history. The trip has a lovely mix. It was well organised and Abraham our tour leader was excellent. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, kind and added so much more to the trip with his stories and humour. Always felt well taken care of, with the right mix of organised activities and time to ourselves. A great trip!

A superb trip to Indonesia with a great group and a fantastic tour leader, Abraham. We all learnt a great deal about Indonesia, its culture, people, food and myriad religions. This and Abraham’s enthusiasm, knowledge and winning smile made it an unforgettable trip. Indonesia I’ll be back!

This trip is a true cultural experience exploring religious sites, UNESCO temples, food, and local hangouts. There is a lot of traffic at all destinations which is part of the experience understanding how the local people use the land. I loved the immersion into the society and feel I got a glimpse of how locals live.
