Itinerary
Day 1: Split/Trogir/Adriatic Sea
Arrival day. Arrive at the meeting point at the Hotel Corner in Split before 4pm to take advantage of the included group transfer to the marina in Trogir. The welcome meeting and safety briefing will take place onboard before beginning the sailing journey.
Day 2-6: Adriatic Sea
While traveling the Dalmatian coast by sailboat, explore ancient Roman ruins and discover secluded beaches. Opt to hike through the national park in Mljet that inspired Odysseus for years, or take a tour of the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Dubrovnik, which offer insight into Croatian culture and architecture. Anchor in the quiet bay of Milna, Hvar, and opt to experience the vibrant night life on land. Explore the beaches as the tide comes in and shifts their shape. Enjoy free time to explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. The city boasts plenty of churches, monasteries, fountains, and plazas to discover.
Our 15m (52 ft) nimble yacht is the perfect platform to explore the gorgeous Adriatic islands. Flexibility is key to adapt to local weather conditions, and the skipper will modify the itinerary to our advantage while sailing. Possible stops include: Hvar, Korčula, Mljet, Brač, and Solta.
Day 7: Adriatic Sea/Dubrovnik
Explore the Mediterranean port town of Dubrovnik. Enjoy the last night aboard, or join the rest of the group for dinner and drinks while reminiscing about the epic journey through the Adriatic Sea.
Day 8: Dubrovnik
Depart after breakfast.
If you would like extra time in Dubrovnik after the sailing journey is finished, we recommend booking extra time.

Well organized. Good mix of organized vs free time activities. Very sociable setting. Fairly priced. Small intimate group allowing time to get to know everyone and enjoy the sites all together

We had very challenging time with our Chief Experience Officer. This is the first time this has happened to me on a G Adventures trip. I've done four previously.

Because we have been on many G trips over the years. This trip did not match the quality of the others but doesn't diminish the other great trips.

There were 4 islands listed in the tour itinerary and we only stopped and spent time at 2 of the islands on the itinerary . The skipper drove right past the island Hvar and when one of the passengers questioned him asking if we were going to stop and see the island, the skipper responded that we were ?seeing it right now? as we drove past. The other island on the itinerary that we were supposed to visit was Brac. We didn't learn until the 3rd day of our trip that this was the island we stopped at for dinner on the 1st night. The itinerary specifically listed that we would have the opportunity to visit the well-known Zlatni Rat Beach and I mentioned to the skipper on day 1 that I was most-looking forward to visiting this beach. The skipper brushed me off and said Zlatni Rat Beach on Brac Island was ?too crowded? and that he would take me to a better beach. It wasnt until 2 days later when I asked at dinner which day we would be going to Brac that the skipper told me we had already been there (for dinner the 1st night). We didn't arrive in Brac until 7:00 or 7:30 pm and when we pulled into the cove, we went straight to dinner after which it was dark outside and time to get ready for bed. we headed out for the next stop right after breakfast the next morning and were not given a chance to explore the island (which we only later learned was Brac). A couple days later when the skipper told us we had already been to Brac, I asked how far it was from where we were and the skipper responded that we were an hour and a half to two hours away. I asked him if we could turn around and he said no. The whole reason I booked this trip was because the island of Brac was on the itinerary. There was no explanation as to why the skipper wouldn't allow us to visit and explore that island, or the island of Hvar. The purpose of booking a sailing trip is that you would get to see and experience multiple islands. Seeing as how we only visited two, we would have been better off staying in a hotel on the mainland and taking the ferry over to the islands. The skipper did not follow the itinerary at all and took us on his own separate itinerary for no reason and for the first few days, he did not communicate where we were going. This was my 2nd time traveling with G Adventures and it was not the same experience I had before. The CEO/skipper may have been a local and an excellent skipper, but he fell far short on providing us with the expected ?G-Experience?

While Croatia is stunning and the boat and itinerary were wonderful, I cannot recommend G Adventures due to a terrible experience with our skipper/captain. He was rude from day 1 and on the second to last day verbally lashed out at our group saying he felt excluded. This couldn't have been further from the truth and was extremely shocking for us. He had been instead isolating himself from us since day 1 and maintained a grumpy attitude throughout the trip. Because he yelled at us, our group had the last group dinner without him. We barely spoke the last day and a half and it was a completely uncomfortable situation. In our first team meeting I asked if there was a place to buy fresh fish from fisherman so we could have for lunch or dinner. He laughed at me and asked if I was going to cook. Again, constantly unprofessional behavior. He did not like answering questions we had about the various islands such as restaurant options, was condescending and acted like sailing was a huge hassle to him. We sailed about 1.5 hours the entire trip. This is a misleadinG Adventures as it's really a motoring trip on a sail boat, not a sailing trip. As an experience sailer who has sailed 4 different countries I understand when you are unable to sail due to no wind, but there were often times Sandre just didn't want to do it. You could see other boats nearby were sailing. When I asked if we could go to Hvar, which is listed on the website as an option for the trip, he rudely replied I don't go there, it's too expensive. It would have been nice to discuss as a group and make that decision together especially given it's one of the most famous islands. There was never a good morning from him, which again just makes for an unpleasant environment in close quarters. I found Sandre to be extremely unprofessional and a bad representation of G Adventures.

I love the small group, local experience with well organized travel, sightseeing and free time. I especially like G philosophy of working with local guides, naturalists, accommodations and enjoy the international mix of travellers.

Very boring trip. Sitting on motor boat for hours. Arrived at some tiny ports with not much to do. Expensive trip when include flights and food and not much to do. Really disappointed. I work in an office. I didn't want to spend hours just sitting on a motor boat and then nothing or not much to do as docked in the back end of no where with little facilities and nothing to do. Was glad when finally arrived in Dubrovnik.

Everything with this trip was great and I would highly recommend although to give a ten I think boat would need to be of slightly higher standard, more info provided when booking re:set up eg sharing rooms etc. but otherwise everything was good.
