We had a great experience. We saw so much of Europe and enjoyed all the pre-arrangements and details covered by TRAFALGAR & our excellent tour guide. Our tour guide was excellent! He anticipated our needs & was very approachable, informative & gave us great perspective. I didn't like the sales pitches after the Murano glassmaking (there was 10-15 sales people following us around), gold shop & leather shop. More down time to relax would be appreciated. It was great to get an early morning at attractions & made for long travel days. I did have fall at the perfume factory outside the bathrooms when I walked into the tap on a round cylinder. The bruise on my leg was the size of a watermelon. There should be warning signs or protectors around the water spout.

The online communication when I booked the trip wasn't the best so I disconnected from the call and got a different agent. Much better. :). On tour, the tour director was excellent. He made that trip better than it would have been without him. The bus driver was second to none. Spectacular. The layout of the tour was excellent. The early mornings and evenings worked well so we could take in as much of what was offered in each destination as possible. There was adequate downtime. Places like Lucerne, The Vatican, The Colosseum, Pompeii, The Amalfi Coast, Venice were awe inspiring. My husband had different highlights. We travelled with our friends and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The photos don't always paint the fun, excitement and spectacular experiences... We enjoyed meeting many people from different countries and using the French we learned in school to communicate in French speaking countries. They like when we try. :). Seeing the Pope was an added bonus. Walking in the Adriatic, the Mediterranean and the waters on Capri were so warm. Our tour guide had so much experience, he could arrange the tour so we got as much as possible from it. The only complaint I had was the food on the last day. Compared with every other meal, it was plain. The breakfasts were plentiful. Healthy lunches were available en route and the optional experiences were especially fabulous. I highly recommend this trip. :). BTW: I found a wine window while in Florence. Many backlist items were checked. :)

Drivers should be more helpful when loading luggage onto bus. Excellent optional experiences, but should offer more free time between or after optional experiences to allow for shopping and having a local meal. Drivers should be more helpful when loading luggage into bus. This is the only reason I will not give the tour 5 stars.

I felt like a felon on a bus. Our driver and tour director were unapproachable. Most of the Charging stations on bus didn't work. No bathrooms on bus with infrequent stops. High pressure for tips. Our tour director was either sleeping or on his phone most of the tour. He provided very little information and work the microphone to his head set close to his belt. We were unable to hear him when he did provide information. He walked fast and some elderly people struggled to keep up with him. Tour Director was either on cellphone or sleeping on the bus during most of the tour. He spent more time requesting tips for his and the driver. We were denied access to bathrooms on bus with infrequent stops during a heatwave. Most accommodations were in sleazy hotels that provided poor quality food. What we got was a driver and tour director that put us on a scheduled provided very little information and at times misinformation. Drops us on at historical sites and gave us time to shop but not enough time to explore. Many stop we were given just enough time to take a picture. Our tour director walked fast and worn the microphone near his belt. We were unable to hear him. Some elderly people had problems keeping up. If we asked for clarification, he responded rudely. He made it clear, he was not our friend and for us not to speak to him unless he was working. If you're traveling to Europe, you'd be better off buying a Eurostar pass, researching hotels and exploring historical sites on your own. Our tour should have included a tour of the Vatican. What we got was we were taken to Saints Peter's Square and told we had shopping time. When we went to Norte Dame, our tour director failed to inform us of dress code. About 10 people were denied entrance.

The accommodation was excellent at all places we stopped at and the staff were very helpful. One of my concerns is that 3 couples missed the meeting time at certain places and become lost but eventually found their way to the group. They were very worried in places unknown. Also, everything was placed on What's App which I didn't know needed to be downloaded thus making the tour information slightly complicated. Apparently the bus we travelled on was a Cost Saver bus and others on the tour who have previously travelled with Trafalgar said it was a smaller bus and not as comfortable. Also, on tour there were some tours that we wished to do from the itinerary but these were not available as the Tour Director viewed others better.

Excellent! Would point out that the number and prices of the optional experiences add up quickly so be sure to budget appropriately. Trip of a lifetime!! I can't think of a better selection of cities and countries to visit! Every place was magical and having as our Tour Director was the icing on the cake. We'll be talking about this trip for the rest of our lives!
